Sophie is an experienced commercial and property lawyer on the Sunshine Coast, with a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and effective legal advice.
Sophie has lived on the Sunshine Coast for over 30 years and practiced as a commercial, property and local government lawyer in the region for over 20 years.
She is known for her down to earth, friendly nature, together with her perseverance and tenacity to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients. Sophie excels at delivering outstanding results in complex transactions as well as in her clients’ everyday legal matters.
Sophie's experience includes working as part of an inhouse legal team in local government for approximately 10 years, which saw her expand on her commercial and property experience for private clients by obtaining an acute understanding of governance, policy and property matters.
Sophie's work in this arena involved dealing with property transactions at the Sunshine Coast Airport and Caloundra Aerodrome, as well as working on multi-party agreements between State departments, the developer and council in relation to the development of Aura. Sophie also was involved in environmentally sensitive land acquisitions to implement the Sunshine Coast Council’s Environment and Liveability Strategy.

With over 20 years experience in the legal industry, Brietta brings a rich and varied background in both legal and administrative roles. She began her career in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, where she spent seven years working with prominent firms, gaining hands-on experience across multiple facets of legal practice.
Through her career, Brietta has held key roles that highlight her versatility and expertise including Conveyancer, Debt Recovery Paralegal, Personal and Legal Assistant, and Accounts. Her broad skill set and in-depth knowledge make her an invaluable asset to any team, offering support and efficiency to ensure smooth operation of a client’s matter.
Brietta’s extensive experience and commitment to her work make her a trusted and capable resource for clients and colleagues alike. She combines attention to detail with a warm personality and exceptional customer service, consistently delivering high-quality results tailored to meet the unique needs of each file.
Brietta enjoys the hinterland, where she lives, and is an active Committee Member with Tibros Netball Club.
